C.S.CARGO Wins European Excellence Award 2016
C.S.CARGO, in partnership with PR consultancy AMI Communications, triumphed at the finals of European Excellence Awards 2016 which honours the best communications projects in Europe, with its recruitment campaign ‘I’m a Woman and I Drive for C.S.CARGO Team’. The jury of experts announced the winners at the awards ceremony in Berlin. The award was presented to Aziz Jahić, Marketing Director C.S.CARGO.
At the European Excellence Awards 2016, C.S.CARGO won its category Transport & Logistics with its project in partnership with AMI Communications. The project beat a field of four other short-listed projects: BMW Group, Deutsche Bahn, Goodyear or the Swedish postal company PostNord Sverige. ‘I’m a Woman and I Drive for C.S.CARGO Team’ was planned and executed by the in-house marketing team in collaboration with JANDL and AMI Communications throughout the course of last year, and resulted in an increased interest in the profession from women.
“I am very pleased that our project came out on top in such a strong field of European competitors. All of Europe suffers from a shortage of professional drivers – men and women – so maybe this is what clinched the victory also in the field of communication. To reach prospective women drivers, our unconventional recruitment campaign capitalized on our experience with the ladies who already drive for us. The campaign helped us increase the number of women drivers in our team threefold. Today, the job of a professional long-haul driver is not just a male privilege. As is the case in other industries, modern technology has eased access for women,” says Aziz Jahić, Marketing Director C.S.CARGO.
