C.S.CARGO looks back at first year of quality control and sorting service
C.S.CARGO is taking stock of the first year of its new service of quality management and control for the automotive, electrical engineering, machine engineering and food production industries. The new service protects customers against the wrong parts and products being used in the process of production. At present, the company employs ninety quality control personnel and offers the service at several dozen customers’ premises in all parts of the Czech Republic.
C.S.CARGO started offering quality management and control as a service at the end of March and beginning of April last year. The service comprises namely control, sorting and fixing of parts en route to the customer. The components and parts are checked on entry, in process and on exit, including a visual check of surfaces and a functional check. The service includes small repairs and fixing of issues with the parts.
“Growing demand from our customers was the main reason for the introduction of the service. We have capacity for quality control and sorting in our warehouses, and we have ten of them in all parts of the country, as well as at our customer’s own premises, at any point in the production process,” Rostislav Novák, Quality Manager C.S.CARGO, explains how the service is delivered.
After a year of the service being offered, the company now employs ninety personnel in the area of quality management, plus over thirty people in two sheltered workshops in Turnov. All service administration is done online, in the Lodis information system, which the company developed in-house.
“Online reporting in our Lodis information system is a great asset for our customers. The system is web-based and customers can look up all details about the goods that go through the controls. At the same time the system connects all other C.S.CARGO services – from quality control to transport,” add Rostislav Novák.¨
