C.S.CARGO will complement its car fleet by new Mercedes-Benz Actros vehicles
Prague, 7th November 2012 – Today, the logistics Group C.S.CARGO, one of prime providers of transport and logistics services in the CEE region, took over 55 new trucks of the type Actros 3 from the company Mercedes-Benz Czech Republic.
The purchase of vehicles is a part of the project of regular renewal and modernisation of car fleets in individual companies of C.S.CARGO Group. Also the purchase of 25 bodies and trailers of the brand Schmitz, 25 bodies and trailers of the brand Krone, 5 bodies and trailers of the brand Wecon and a total of 40 independent bodies of the brand Krone represented a part of the project. Thus the Group will be able to immediately put 55 large-capacity freight sets, whose characteristic is fully adjusted to the current needs and projects of C.S.CARGO, into operation.
„The purchase of new sets comes at a time when we have finalised restructuring of the firm after the entry of the new owner, and we could focus on strengthening of individual operational activities. Renewal of the car fleet is a necessary part of this process. Mercedes-Benz vehicles guarantee us the achievement of high quality services for the customer. We will put the vehicles, which fulfil the emission norms Euro 5, immediately into operation,“ Aleš Willert, Chief Executive Officer of C.S.CARGO a.s., commented the purchase of new vehicles.
The taken over Mercedes-Benz Actros 3 trucks are equipped with the 435 HP engine with BlueTec technology, thanks to which they fulfil the emission norm EURO 5. On top of it, the vehicles use a fully automatic gearbox PowerShift 2, whose effective use has a favourable impact on fuel-efficient driving and facilitates management of the truck set for the driver. Moreover, the driver has a facility available in the Megaspace cabin, providing security and comfort of the driver and enabling on-line connection of the vehicle with the company’s dispatching centre.

Aleš Willert, general manager of C.S.CARGO Group, has been named vice-president for freight haulage of the ČESMAD BOHEMIA Association of Road Transport Operators for the next three years. This service and lobbying organisation assists its member with advancing their interests.

C.S.CARGO Group purchased trucks at a cost of CZK 155 million in 2018. The company acquired 51 Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, MAN and Renault vehicles and 48 trailers. A completely new aspect was the purchase of six custom-manufactured trailers for transporting specific handling equipment.
