Ten trucks with special branding are being sent on this mission.
“We are pleased to have been invited on board as Official Transport Partner of Pilsen – European Capital of Culture 2015. The European Capital of Culture project is one of the most successful concepts in the European Union. European Capital of Culture is a prestigious title, which brings many benefits to the city, for its people to enjoy not only in the year in question, but also in the coming years and decades. The significance and complexity of the project naturally places great demands on organisation and logistics. As the leading Czech logistics services provider we have the resources and know-how to meet the transport needs of this extensive project during the whole year,” comments Aleš Willert, CEO C.S.CARGO.
C.S.CARGO dedicated to the project ten of its new trucks which will, throughout the year, carry all cultural material from various European cities to Pilsen and back. One of the first journeys was the transport of Le Manège Carré Senart, an artisanal merry-go-round, from Paris to Pilsen in the second half of 2014.
Pilsen will open up as European Capital of Culture on Saturday 17 January 2015. As of this day, a plethora of concerts, festivals, theatre performances and other cultural experiences – around 600 events altogether – will commence. Pilsen will become a centre of cultural life in Europe.
“The year 2015 is a year of opportunity for us. Throughout the year, Pilsen will welcome many artists who will need good organisation and facilities for their performance. For this reason we are happy that C.S.CARGO and its trucks will help us create the best conditions for our acts,” says Petr Forman, Artistic Chief of Pilsen – European Capital of Culture 2015.
“I can say that supporting culture is something we are committed to. In addition to this year’s Pilsen 2015 project, we have also become partners of Letní Letná, an international festival of new circus and theatre,” adds Aziz Jahić, Marketing Director, C.S.CARGO.
